A friend had asked me why no novelisations exist of the Douglas Adams written episodes of Doctor Who (Pirate Planet, City of Death and of course, Shada). My answer was that it probably had something to do with Douglas having a contract with Harmony books (the publishers of Hitchhiker's) and W.H. Allen/ Target having rights to the Doctor Who novels. This is the only viable explanation I have been able to come up with; any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
