Douglas Adams is going to write the novelizations for his stories.
He does'nt want anyone else to do this which is why there are no
novelizaions for his stories. As soon as he has some time, he
will write them. As he has already expressed an interest to do so.

This information was obtained from one of the latest Doctor Who
magazines. I don't know if any of this has changed since then.
