Alan Gant asked if Aiwa was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony.  Half
true - Sony owns 50% of Aiwa.  Aiwa has made some VCRs for Sony, notably
the SL-5200.  The current Sony HFR (Hi-Fi Ready) series of VCRs are
very similar in concept to Aiwa's AV-50M to make me wonder whether Aiwa
makes those too.
