  I can recommend the Chateau Orleans, in fact I would give it four stars.
This is a rental condo with efficiency, 1 or 2 bedroom units available. I
stayed in a one bedroom suite for a few days last spring & was quite pleased.
The rooms have in room jacuzzi's, refrigerator, microwave, free local phone,
daily maid service & are very comfortable. The complex has a private courtyard
w/ pool & garden, free washer/dryer (they even provide laundry soap!) & many
other services too numerous to mention. Corporate rates are available and were
(as of June 85) $90.00/day for a one bedroom suite. The one bedroom suite
would accomodate 2-4 people as it includes a hide-a-bed in the living area as
well as the separate bedroom. The Chateau is 1 block east of Canal St. & 2
