The two used to talk to each other, but when I try to redirect output, the machine now hangs. I suspect the parallel interface card. Does anybody else have a machine/printer combination that could use this part? If so, would you be willing to drop it into your machine and tell me whether it runs? Alternatively, I would like suggestions for a diagnosis or fix. I replaced four out of five chips on the card (the trivial stuff) but the most likely culprit would be the PROM, which seems to be difficult to obtain. The probable fix will be to replace the card, but I don't want to do this until I know that's where the problem is.
