Designed 4 years ago, it is commercially available for about $10000. The Atari 520ST is a new personal computer available for less than $1400. It contains, except for a few minor differences, the same hardware as the Blit does. We worked on converting the Blit software to run on the Atari 520ST. This talk will describe the two machines, explain the prob- lems we faced, and summarize our work. We will then talk about what we learned, and whether it was a good idea. With luck, a demo of the Blit and the Atari Blit will be in- cluded.
