The printer connects to a workstation either via serial or parallel, or by Ethernet (for the 300). Here at UPenn there is one installation with six Apollo DN3xx workstations and a DSP90 file server, with the laser printer connected to the server via a 9600 baud serial line. I've also seen the parallel configuration on Apollo via the file server, and an Ethernet connection on Sun. As I mentioned in a previous letter, Interleaf will soon (in a few months) be supporting PostScript, so Apple LaserWriters, etc. could be used with WPS. Dan Blumenfeld University of Pennsylvania
