I am looking into ways of reducing the noise level inside my car (78 VW Rabbit) so I don't have to turn up the volume so high. The idea is to put in soundproofing materials under the carpeting and under the dash. Has anyone had prior experience in this? I need to know what materials are most effective, what thickness, cost, and where it can be obtained. If there is sufficient interest, I will post a summary. Thanks in advance, Biswa Ghosh (biswa@medea.berkeley.edu)
