Attention GTI and GOLF owners:

Volkswagen is recalling some GTI's and GOLF's because of a
potential for gasoline leakage from the fuel tank in a rear collision.

The vehicles involved are the 1985 and early 1986 GTI and Golf gasoline
models with identification numbers in the following range:

            1VWxxx017xFV000001 - 1VWxxx017xFV082794

The rear end collision would have to involve a 4000 lb. metal object
hitting the rear of the car at 30 mph for this problem to occur.

The new fuel tanks won't be available until May or June, so in the
meantime, keep driving at ultra-high speeds so no one rear-ends you :-)
