Sounds like it's time for you to write a letter to the editor of the New
York Times. And the governor. Couldn't hurt....

Here at the University of Illinois, while the Beckmann Institute is being
named after the guy donating megabucks for it, there are some buildings
named after people who gave the school nothing more than several years of
their lives. It's well-known (whether it's true or not) that they're just
waiting for John Bardeen to die so they can name the Electrical Engineering
Building after him.
