This clears the fog somewhat and raises the visability a bit, so then they can send out, say, a DC-9, or similar. Of course, this could be thought of as cheating, but you would be left in awe at the RVR reading improvements after just 1 747 takeoff .... Once, after a Pan Am 747 took off, you could see up to the open sky! /Geert Anyone else seen this?
