It kind of makes you wonder doesn't it? HOW TO GET A SEARS CREDIT CARD QUICKLY: Make a purchase, and say you want to apply for a card and put the purchase on it. They hold the goods until the application is approved (or denied), which takes a week or so. I think they are legally required to process the application immediately if it is to cover a purchase.
