I can think of a few reasons VISA might want to offer a freebie
"platinum" card.  Presumably they will require quite a lot of
income before giving one out.  Thus:

	1. If you have one, you're likely to spend a lot;
	   that will give them a lot of commission money.

	2. They will be able to make a lot of money selling
	   the list of people who have these cards.
