A while back, I asked for advice about whether my folks should get us the DLC-X (the mondo model) or the DLC-7PRO, one smaller. I received a few responses suggesting the smaller model, and considered it, but the DLC-X was really what I wanted so that's the one we got. In a word, TERRIFIC!! We've done mega-salad for company without emptying the bowl, and it kneads bread dough (10 cups of flour worth) in short order. Of course, it does everything that other Cuisinarts are known for as well. It does take up an enormous amount of counter space, but I use it often so it's okay. There's no pasta attachment, so if you're into making fresh pasta at home, you're out of luck; I don't think there are plans to make an attachment for the DLC-X in the near future. However, you can get just about everything else for the DLC-X. Hope this is useful for someone else out there. Susan
