(in case you didn't know this you CAN dig through the walls of a shop, you just have to keep at it. Note that it tells you that the wall SEEMS too hard to dig into.). When you leave the shopkeeper will follow you tapping you on the shoulder and saying "Didn't you forget to pay?". One intersting event that a friend of mine encountered was on a ghost level that he found upon which was a shop that the ghost had robbed. He passed the shopkeeper in a room and it said to him "Hello dml, I was looking for gronk".
