Another lizard trivia: If you kill a monster while you are confused (not an easy task) the corpse (if there is one) will turn into a dead lizard. I don't know if this is always true but It has worked 4 times in a row for me. As for your cocatrice problem, try eating an acid blob (preferably fresh). This should negate the stoning effects of the cockatrice. Good Luck...
