What I'm looking for is some numerical results from other polls. I want to find out what a reasonable response is. We've all heard the numbers on the thousands of machines on the net, and the tens-of- thousands of readers on those machines; I doubt anyone has seen a response that supports such numbers, but I would like to know the quantity of responses typical polls have yielded. If you have conducted a poll in the past year or so, would you please MAIL to me the answers to the following: (1) Briefly, what was the question (or what was he nature of the questions)? (2) What newsgroup(s) did you conduct the poll in? (3) How many responses did you get? (4) If possible, could you tell me what the geographic distribution of the responses was? If interest warrants, I will post results of this meta-poll in net.followup. Thanks, -- Randy D. Smith (919) 279-5312 AT&T Technologies, Guilford Center, NC ....!{ihnp4,burl}!{gc49,gc3ba}!smithrd
