It's in Communications of the ACM, June 1980, Volume 23, Number 6. The paper is pretty good but the actual program, which is included is a bit awkward. It was originally written in Pascal & had been translated to C just before its publication. Does anyone know of any comprehensive papers on particle systems (especially shading techniques) ? Any help would be appreciated. -thomas williams ---- "Its only a state of mind" pyrnj!vu-vlsi!williams
