GPA 5.1/6.0 Studied many aspects of systems programming, including networking, compiler design, operating system design, and the analysis of algorithms and theory of computation. Used various high level languages ( including C, Pascal, Fortran, Modula2 and Lisp ), and several assembly languages (including CDC Compass and VAX-11). Written several large ( over 2000 lines of code ) programs in C and Pascal in a Unix environment, including a compiler. Worked to port the Xinu operating system to IBM PC's. Work Experience: ---------------- Worked in the Purdue University Computing Center's Unix Group maintaining various system utilities, including the Berkeley "vi" text editor, the Rand-Berkeley "mh" mail system, and several local programs, also assisted in the software effort converting Computing Center vaxen to dual cpu's. Worked as a General Consultant for the Purdue University Computing Center, providing technical assistance and user support to students, professors, and recipients of NSF grants nationwide on such systems as Unix ( Bell Labs Release 7, Berkeley 4.2, and AT&T system V ), IBM VM/CMS, CDC VSOS 2.1 and CDC MACE. Was a partner in General Overall Design Software, co-authoring the GRAX basic extension for Commodore 64 computers, and the HyperBase database for Commodore Amigas.
