A vote revealed that they all wanted to eat bread. So with some effort, they went out and gathered the grain, and water to make the bread, but they needed yeast. After a long search (the story of which I will spare you from, as life is short) they happened upon a sourdough roll. They secreted the roll to a private place and covered it with a cloth to let it rise over night. Each of them was to stand guard duty for a part of the night. But when the sun rose, it was gone. Since there had been a watch all night, they all concluded that one of the three of them must be the culprit. This caused much questioning and denial until the sparrow noticed that the lark was making frequent short flights, high into the sky. Sparrow followed the Lark on one of these flights, and at the peak noticed an acrid odor in the air. So he accused the Lark saying... "Lark, what height thou wind doth break? For it is the Yeast, and'you have et the bun."
