It appears to me that net.jokes has become a refuge for those
who used to be on net.flame.  The general subject of "people I'd
like to see shot" seems more appropriate for net.flame.

I'd dearly love to a see a net.puns created so I wouldn't have to
wade through them.  I *do* have an 'n' key, but the damn things
come up on my terminal before I get a chance to use 'n'.

I have never laughed at a pun, but I have got a lot of laughs
watching *other people* groan when I have recited a shaggy dog
story.
