My followup posting referred him to a LAN Reference Guide; due to several folks on the net requesting more specifics about this reference, I have dug up the information and hereby post it. Title: LAN Reference Guide Editor: Tom Brooks Publisher: Prentice-Hall Price: $69.95 ISBN: 0-13-539586-0 I haven't gotten my copy yet (our acquisition process is INCREDIBLY slow), but am looking forward to receiving it in a few months (even though it is currently sitting on the shelf of a local bookstore down the street from us). It is a ring notebook with a pretty thorough generalized treatment of terminology and concepts of LANs. If anyone gets it before I do, I'd appreciate comments being posted to the net. I'll post my more detailed observations when it comes in.
