I am interested if anyone has any opinions/experiences in using the
Amsterdam Compiler Kit from Unipress Inc. (originally written
by A. Tanenbaum).

I would also be interested in other available intermediate language
generators and cross-compilers, particularly with interest in
multi-processor portability.

If there is enough interest, I will post a summary of the results to
the net.
