Have any of you noticed that a lot of the "Please add me" messages
get sent just after each new edition of the list-of-lists comes out?

Perhaps only the -REQUEST address should be mentioned in the list (this
implies requiring that all lists have a -REQUEST)? This might help just
a hair - people hopefully would avoid dropping part of a mailing
list name.

Of course, there's also the solution of mailing Zippy the Pinhead quotes
once a minute to people who send "please add/delete me" messages to
the whole damn list...
