I seem to recall reading about bugs in the 286 that invalidated
certain aspects of its hardware protection capability.  I don't
remember if this only referred to early chips or whether it is
indigenous to the species.  Can someone comment on this?  Also, if
the 286 does indeed have problems, have they been corrected in the
386?
