     Sorry, I goofed.  I have been enlighted that I neglected to initialize
  the variable "i" in my C blooper.  I violated one of the first laws of
  programming, initialize!, and then another law of programming, if it
  fails, check your initializations.  
     If only it was as simple to explain the Pascal blooper!
