He tells me that he's about to come out with a new magazine called Amiga Project. Here's the scoop: First issue scheduled to come out April 1 or so, and will be about 30 pages (hey, that's what he said). It will be aimed at 'programmers and hard core users. We won't talk about spreadsheets'. Initial contact/distribution is through Amiga dealers. He expects an initial press run of about 2-3K copies, and will sell each (monthly) issue for $2.50. The magazine will have lots of listings. He implied that most of the magazine would be listings, but said that they'd have a Q&A column, and a few other columns. They either have a BBS or are about to put one up (I forget), which will be for subscribers to download listings, among other things. They are laser printing the magazine from a Mac. He sent me a rate sheet for advertisers but I haven't rec'd it yet. I'll report back if/when I get it. The address is: Nortia Publishing PO Box 285 Kent OH 44240 and phone 216/673-0185 I should point out that I don't know much else about this, and am not connected with it in any way, except I agreed to send him a copy of my program for review. maybe it'll give AmigaWorld a run. Let's hope so. ..Bob -- UUCP: wanginst!ulowell!page Bob Page ARPA: page@ulowell.CSNET U of Lowell CS Dept VOX: +1 617 452 5000 x2233 Lowell MA 01854 USA
