I definately want the kind that connects to the SIO port, no 850 interface needed, and I would perfer a 1200 BAUD unit to a 300 BAUD. The two I'm most interested in are the Supra MPP1200AT which is Hayes command compatible for about $189, and the Digital Devices Pocket Modem which is available both as a 1200 BAUD unit and a 300 BAUD which can be upgraded to 1200. I have some manufacturers literature on both of these but that's all adver- tising. Anyone ever use either of these? Or have experience with any other brands that you would recommend? Any information would be appreciated. --- Kevin Thompson {ucbvax,ihnp4!nsc}!voder!kevin "It's a sort of threat, you see. I've never been very good at them myself but I'm told they can be very effective."
