I am running VIP on the standard 512K 520ST and have seen similar problems.

1) On very rare(albeit important) occasions I have lost my spreadsheet to
a System 2 message.  It always seems to be related to printing somehow as
I have just recently done some printing.

2) I am using a printer that does not understand Epson escape sequences
so if VIP depends on an Epson, that may explain some of my problems.
Basically I am missing numeric data if it is in the first column and
any labels that exceed the column width will offset the data to the
right of them the same number of spaces.  This is a well known bug 
which has been reported.
