Message-ID: <602@aaec.OZ> Date: Wed, 12-Feb-86 21:34:11 EST Article-I.D.: aaec.602 Posted: Wed Feb 12 21:34:11 1986 Date-Received: Sun, 16-Feb-86 06:12:59 EST Organization: Australian Atomic Energy Commission Lines: 20 At present, MacWrite 4.5 does not allow the printing of high quality MacPaint pasteins from within a Macwrite document. What happens when 'High Quality' is chosen is that Macwrite text is printed by two passes of the imagewrite r printhead, but MacPaint pasteins only get one pass, why is this? Can the problembe over come by programming the printer. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Perhaps a later version of MacWrite will allow this facility. I find this problem especially annoying as I bought my Mac primarilary for writing reports with lots of graphics. Apple Australia espouse the greatness of the Macspaste in ability, but fail to tell you that you cant get a high quality final report from it. I have been offered the use of an Apple laserwriter, will that fix my MacWrite-MacPaint problems? or do I have to continue to cutout and paste (really!) with real scissors and tape my Macpaint documents into my reports. (Not much Hi-Tech there!). Ps: What is the rest of the world doing about this? Please complain to you local Apple distributer as I have and we may get some action. PPs:I have a 512k Mac, pre-MacPLUS.
