Bruner. I'm in the process of writing a new front end for the Atari 520ST (this note is written with it). I know, it's not a mac, but it's much cheaper (at least in Germany), so we use them as terminals at our university. I took the UW protocol because it is very clean and symmetrical, but it has some disadvantages: No file transfer, no possibility to set the name of a window from the host or determine the program running in a window from the atari/mac. Has anybody extended the protocol in these directions ? And a related question: Has anybody the network address of Mr. Bruner ? I want to ask him for permission to use his code (I want to send my source to mod.sources like his code, so there should be no problem, but better ask before...)
