The 6300+ can handle 16meg of memory, just like any other 80286. The reason
for the published 7meg restriction has to do with how many memory expansion
cards will fit in the three 16-bit bus slots. With 256k memory chips and
one meg on the motherboard and 2meg each on three exp. boards yields 7meg.
However, AT&T makes 1megabit chips and at some point in the future you will
be able to have a 16meg PLUS.
