It is public domain, and a almost totaly complete version of it's mainframe counter part. JOVE can be found on several main frames, and offers some very nice features. I preffer it to Emacs. There was also a program for CP/m several years ago that might be available for the PC. It was Uince (I think). I remember something about it later becoming Perfect Writer, but I am not sure.
