Mild disagreement. It is not a farce, like "Bananas," but it is a comedy.
The classical definition of comedy is that an important subject is
treated in a non-tragic way. This means that a comedy does not have
to provoke belly laughs. I found myself smiling throughout the movie,
although I rarely laughed.
