Several dream sequences were in the TV version that were not in the theater version. These dream sequences took place while Jimmy Stewart was asleep in his wheelchair. They appeared to have been put together from footage copied from other scenes, spliced together with the out-of-focus dream lens. I, for one, did not like these scenes and thought the movie flowed better without them. Does anyone know if these scenes were done by Hitchcock, or if they were put together for the TV release to pad the movie out to 2.5 hours including commercials (given the fact that no new scenes were involved, the second seems likely). Was it just this one station, or was some distributor involved? Gary Ansok {hplabs,decvax,ucbvax,ihnp4}!trwrb!trwspp!spp3!ansok Things would be so different, If they were not as they are.
