Many apologies if this is a naive or redundant question, but
I am interested in playing MIDI-equipped instruments with
my IBM AT. 
Basically, I will have access to a Casio 8-voice synthesiser (CP-5000?).
I need information on what the MIDI spec is, if special hardware is
needed to interface to it (PPI such as an 8255?), where/how much is
this hardware, and what software you can get with it. If enough
response is generated, I will post a summary article.
