Many persons might think to themselves, "Gee, now that we have TEMPORARY groups, I can send in lots of junk and nobody can complain that I'm clogging up the main groups." But of course the temporary groups would still be taking up transmission and reading time, and would probably find themselves being frequently renewed instead of being allowed to die gracefully when their time is up. Overall, it sounds to me like the temporary groups could actually increase the overall "noise" level on the net, rather than reduce it. Personal opinion, of course. --Lauren--
