 I have been on the receiving side of the bouncer, which has resulted in 
couple of stitches, and bumps on my head (:-) maybe that's why I landed up
in this country), I had an impression that effective protective head gear 
have been devised that took care of the problem. I believe that the bouncer
should not be eliminated but limited, because a good batsman knows very
well how to deal with one.
