For God's sakes, ladies and gentlemen,
let us stop citing "Freedom at Midnight" as if it is our Gospel or
something like that.  The book is racy and generally light reading
and perhaps accurate to some degree or a substantial degree too,
but surely we could either let the argument on the Mountbatten
issue pass or find some other source/reference.
(This message is in response to the umpteen net postings on the 
subject, the latest of whic dealt with the Mountbattens and the Pathans.
