Lines: 10 Check deep inside kitty's ears. Probably ear mites or a mild infection. If the ears have a bad odor, a mild infection is most likely and must be treated. Another cause could be wax buildup. In any case, the vet can recommend a course of action. If kitty starts to scratch the ears violently, get him or her to the vet as they can do some damage to the outer ear, plus increase and spread the infection. T. C. Wheeler
