Desperado has been an indoor cat all of his life and has used a kitty box all of his life. From time to time over the years, I have been tempted to place a roll of toilet paper next to the kitty box. The problem is that Desper doesn't always leave everything that he is supposed to leave in the box. He walks away with feces dangling from his rear. If I am around when he uses the box, I check him and clean him up right away. Sometimes I am not around though, and I come home to find smeared evidence on the carpet, on the bedspread, etc. Now that I have a 6 month old baby, I am more and more concerned about this problem. I have never heard of anyone else having this problem with a cat, but if anyone has any advice or suggestions on how to cope (changes in diet, in kitty box, ???) I'd appreciate them.
