She walks by. You step Down, onto the walk, behind. She looks around, sees The black leather, faded jeans, White smile and Honest eyes, Then looks away. The wind rises Behind the fine-line legs Beneath a shade of white, And carries her scent Like a child. You breath deep. She hears and Walks faster. Yet still your pace Will take you by. Again you smile, Then remember A glimpse Of her eyes. The pulse of her heels Is high by the time You move beside her, Moving steady in longer strides. And she glances your way, but Her eyes.... You sheath your smile and Hide your eyes, And once you are well past You hear her.
