God's love reached down to touch my heart
Inside a silent and lonely night
Through a place where so much darkness lay
Shining a light so glorious and bright

His glowing light broke through darkness so thick
To brink dawn into the sleeping heart
That stirs and wakes and feels with awe
The wonder and beauty that stands apart

God with His love so strong and immense
Came down to take my small weak hand
His light unfolds me with love I never saw
That lifts me so gently to rise and stand
