Every city should have things like a botanical garden, various museums, a very weird thrift store, a zoo, or even a library. Read the paper for free events. Once I took a date to a cat show. It was free and something most people don't do. I bet dog or horse shows are fun too. The Sierra Club is a good source of innocent merriment. If there are beaches, mountains or things not paved over, pack a picnic and sit in the middle of them. Going to the beach in the rain is fun too. You and your honey (and desparate joggers) are the only ones there. A cafe is nice. Spend the day in a used bookstore.... (on to infinity) E *****
