Former All-Star pitcher, Atlee Hammaker, of the SF Giants is suffering
from a mysterious illness that has caused a 20 pound drop in weight in
2 weeks.  This illness occurred shortly before a promotional cruise
with several other Giants and caused him to leave the ship early.
Doctors have no idea what caused this illness.  He was unable to complete
the 1 mile run in the allotted time at spring training yesterday.
Manager Roger Craig has stated that he is farthest behind of all the
pitchers.
