Here's a tidbit from the Feb 2 issue of the Grand Forks Herald:

The first year of WCHA vs. Hockey East (last year) wound up with the
results 66-42-4, in favor of WCHA teams.  This year (up through the
weekend preceding that of Feb 1) the tally is 71-32-7, again in favor
of WCHA teams.  

I'll bet the East is glad the Nationals are set up the way they are!
