I am starting to think about spending some time in the Far East.  I
would like to travel to China and Hong Kong and possibly some other
countries.  I think I prefer to travel by myself (eg not in a tour).
Since I am extremely unfamiliar with how to arrange all this, (eg what
do I have to do to travel in China).  I would appreciate any comments from 
people who have done so.  Also under consideration is the
Trans-Siberian Express, anyone out there done this?
