MW9 at my school seems to have this requirement for subtlety in meta-comments.
HOWEVER, I don't remember this being a requirement at all . . . if so, then
great comments like "We have to.  There's another show in 20 minutes." (the
spirit of the Christmas show comment, rather than the letter) would
certainly have to be discounted.
Yeah, I know I'm being picky too . . .
