        For the interest of Mervyn Peake fans the world over . . .

        Channel 4 TV has filmed `Mr Pye' on location in Sark with
        the co-operation of (at least) Clare Peake (+ all the
        Sarkese!).

        It stars Derek Jacobi (of `I Claudius') and Judy Parfitt as
        Mr Pye and Miss Dredger.

        The first episode is being shown next Sunday and I'll post
        a mini-review in a week's time.

        It seems likely that if it is a success PBS stations in the
        USA may buy it.
