I'm in the market for a VHS video recorder, and would liappreciate and 
information anyone might be able to give me. I'm looking for a self-contained
unit - i.e. one that you wouldn't need to have attached to a VCR to record with.
I'm looking for information like price, battery pack life, quality of picture,
amount of light needed,. . . 
  We started getting the NetNews recently, so if there's already been a
discussion about the relative merits of different VHS recorders, if someone
would have these postings around, you could mail them to me at the below ad
